United Way of Hays County Supports Flood Recovery Efforts

United Way of Hays County has set up a disaster recovery fund to assist those affected by the Memorial Day Weekend floods in Hays and Caldwell counties.  We will be working with our partner agencies and other non-profit organizations to distribute these funds directly to those in need in the coming days, weeks and months.  Details about applying for disaster recovery funds will be available on our website later this week.

If you would like to help your neighbors in need, please visit click here or text FLOODS to 41444 to make a donation.

If you are unable to make a monetary donation, but would like to help, please consider donating your time tomorrow, May 26, 2015, from 9am-2pm during our Day of Service.  We will be mobilizing volunteers to help clean up the Blanco Gardens neighborhood in San Marcos.  Volunteers are being asked to check in at the Half Price Books parking lot.  Please wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing and bring work gloves, mops and rakes if you have them.  Cleaning supplies and lunch will be provided.
